Adam Ogden: President & C.E.O. JuiceBlendz® & YoBlendz®
Adam Ogden has a strong track record in sales, nutrition and the smoothie industry. By the time he was 19, Adam had become a recognized amateur bodybuilder and an IPFA certified professional personal trainer. His physical commitment was recognized with titles like Mr. Teenage Tallahassee and Mr. Northwest Florida.
As a natural next step, he consolidated his ambition, vision, knowledge and expertise in the numerous areas of fitness and nutrition to establish his first business.
Adam created his first smoothie and supplement retail concept, at the age of 20 with a $250 investment on a credit card after running a small nutrition delivery business out of his college apartment. He shattered his $350,000 revenue goal in his first year of business. Adam then started the D&A Nutrition brand of sports supplements and vitamins, carried exclusively today through JuiceBlendz.
Within three years he successfully launched three prototype stores. In 2004 at the age of 28, Adam sold the successful brand. With a passion for and as a proven architect of operating smoothie and juice bars, as well as ownership of a premier line of dietary supplements, Adam introduced the JuiceBlendz franchise in 2005. Not your typical smoothie spot, you find plasma menus, up-beat world music, 21st century architecture and both a delicious and nutritious product. Mr. Ogden is the youngest member ever of the Jim Moran Institute of Global Entrepreneurship roundtable as well as an active Rotarian. In April 2007, Adam was listed in Florida International Magazine’s 108 Movers, Shakers & Newsmakers as a Power Player.
He was listed alongside such notable people as Anthony Shriver, Ivanka Trump, Andy Roddick, Calvin Klein, Vera Wang, Billy Joel and Rosie O’Donnell. The South Florida Business Journal nominated JuiceBlendz for Business of the Year in 2007.
In 2010, the South Florida Business Journal selected Adam Ogden as a recipient of the prestigious 40 under 40 award, which nominates the top 40 individuals under the age of 40 in the South Florida business world. Adam achieved this accomplishment at the age of 34. Adam was also awarded with being named in the top 50 entrepreneurs category.
In the Summer of 2010, Adam Ogden created his second franchise brand, YoBlendz, a cutting edge retail environment that serves the freshest ingredients in a self-serve format.
In April 2011, JuiceBlendz won the coveted South Florida Business Journal’s Business of the Year Award for 26-100 employees, an award they received the runner-up position for in 2008.
In the Fall of 2011, Adam Ogden received approval for his Regional Investment Center that provides EB-5 Visas, or Green Cards, to qualified foreign investors. This program will assist in catapulting the growth of both the JuiceBlendz and YoBlendz franchise brands. In 2012, Adam Ogden won Entrepreneur of the Year in the South Florida Business Journal.
In the Spring of 2012, Adam Ogden launched the “#Believe College Road Tour” designed to inspire college business students’ entrepreneurial spirit and to share his secrets to success in the franchising industry. He looks to partner with a young entrepreneur for a new venture while visiting campuses across the U.S. In 2013, the YoBlendz brand introduced an exciting new model for convenience stores and gas stations. In this new business format, guests will follow brightly colored YoBlendz footsteps, and they’ll accept the tasty invitation to “make yourself happy” at the self-serve “YoBlendz 2 Go” section of their local gas station or convenience store.
While customers enjoy an affordable flat by-the-cup rate, investors enjoy low franchise fees and a flat annual royalty rate that is as irresistible as the delectable frozen yogurt and fresh toppingz offered. Investors are able to capitalize on slow and unproductive square feet within the space, therefore increasing profitability. “We’re very excited about our newest endeavor for the YoBlendz brand, which is sure to bring great opportunities to investors and customers alike at many levels,” said Adam Ogden, founder and CEO. “We look forward to providing a healthier snack alternative for customers on-the-go.”
As part of his charitable heart, Adam has donated monies to The Boys and Girls Club, The American Heart Association, over 50 schools, fundraising groups, religious organizations and local businesses in the South Florida Community through the JuiceBlendz Foundation, and formed the YoBlendz Foundation with his wife Monique as the Director, to feed, clothe and educate children across the globe. A portion of all sales in YoBlendz stores is donated to feed hungry children.
Adam and his wife Monique have been happily married for sixteen years and are the proud parents of two girls, Savannah Madison and Sierra Alexandria.
